Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Management Specialist who will take charge of planning, scheduling, and overseeing the movement of materials from receipt to production within our warehouse. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing raw material and scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production timelines, while also coordinating closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams.

Primary Responsibilities

The Material Management Specialist will support the manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing all inventory operations, including cycle counting and tracking components.
  • Fulfilling material requests and managing inventory actions using corporate accounting software.
  • Assembling kits for production and handling material delivery and pickup.
  • Supporting component serialization and marking, conducting materials audits, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of materials.
  • Demonstrating strong personal organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cohesive team environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work with department leadership on strategic planning and long-term vision for the stockroom team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for delivery and pickup tasks.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be a resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the Huntsville area.
  • U.S. Citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Prior inventory control experience.
  • Knowledge of electronic component handling requirements and ESD processes.
  • Familiarity with electronics kitting requirements and implementation of tracking systems.

Pay Range: $31,850.00 - $57,575.00
