Job Description

Hotel Sales Manager Position Type: Full-Time | Exempt Salary Range: Starting at $50,000-$60,000 annually + bonus potential Reports To: Director of Sales / General Manager Position Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales initiatives, building relationships with clients, and securing event and guest room bookings. This individual will play a key role in achieving and exceeding sales targets by generating leads, closing deals, and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the sales cycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify leads for group room blocks, events, and meetings
  • Meet or exceed individual and property-level sales goals
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and property tours for prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements with clients
  • Coordinate and communicate with the internal team to ensure seamless event execution
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales contracts, proposals, and reports
  • Maintain organized records of client communications and transactions
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to leadership
  • Promote hotel programs, packages, and special offers to clients
  • Collect and process deposits and final payments from clients
  • Visit and follow up with existing and prospective clients to foster strong relationships
  • Stay up to date on competitor activity, market trends, and local events
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in hospitality sales or a related customer-facing role is strongly preferred
  • Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Professional in demeanor, with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A positive attitude, team mindset, and willingness to learn are highly valued
